| And Then There Were Four |
It was in September 2003 that a piece of Masonic History was made in Lodge Cadder Argyle No. 147, when Brother Craig Seggie was Raised a Master Mason at the hands of his father, Brother David Seggie, and grandfather, Brother Bobby Seggie. From then on they became known in the Lodge as the ‘Seggie Triplets’.
|
Three years later, at the Regular Meeting held on Saturday 18th November 2006 they became four.
The Degree Ceremony that evening featured Brother Iain Robert Seggie, on his nineteenth birthday, being Raised a Master Mason.
Just as last time, the first part of the ceremony was carried out by the candidate’s father, Brother David Seggie, now Past Master and presently Depute Master. The second part of the ceremony was carried out, again with great dignity, by the candidate’s grandfather, Brother Bobby Seggie, Past Master.
The difference this time was that the Conductor for the ceremonial was Brother Craig Seggie, Craig also had the honour of Clothing his ‘wee brother’ with the Distinguishing Badge of a Master Mason. Craig is currently Lodge Marshal and will be Installed as Senior Deacon at the Installation in December.
The ceremony was completed with the presentation to Iain of Life Membership of the Lodge, a birthday gift from the family.

Once again it must be said that with family bonds such as this evident within the Lodge, Cadder Argyle’s future must surely go from strength to strength.
