Lodge Cadder Argyle No. 147
A warm welcome to the Lodge from the Master Brother Andrew Cochrane

On behalf of the Office-bearers and Brethren of Lodge Cadder Argyle No. 147, I welcome you to our website, whether a Freemason or not, I hope that you enjoy your visit.

I firstly would like to take this opportunity to thank the Brethren of Lodge Cadder Argyle for bestowing upon me the great honour of representing our Lodge as Master for 2012. I am also very privileged, in the respect that we have a very talented and dedicated team of Office-bearers, and I wish them every success for the coming season.

Our Annual Installation turned out to be a very eventful and enjoyable event, with many visiting brethren attending, despite the harsh weather. As a show of appreciation for the support given to the Lodge by these particular brethren, it is my intention to visit the Lodges represented at our Installation, as often as possible during my reign as Master.

On behalf of myself and the Brethren, I would like to thank my predecessor, Brother Ian McIntyre, who has had a very successful year in office, and has yet again raised the profile of our Lodge within our local parish as well as our Province. His fund raising achievements can be viewed on our ‘Events Page’.

As tradition dictates, the newly installed Master of Cadder Argyle is encouraged to nominate a ‘special cause’, which he and the Brethren actively raise money for throughout his year. (This is of course, in addition to the on going fund raising for many other notable causes). My chosen Charity is Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Masonic benevolence is very rarely advertised, as we seek no reward or recognition for our charity. However, in recent years our donations have featured in local newspapers, and this serves to raise awareness for the needy causes we support.

You can also read more about previous Masters’ nominated charities elsewhere on this site Master’s Charity

I hope you enjoy visiting our website, and if you have any questions regarding Lodge Cadder Argyle No.147 or Freemasonry in general, please contact us, and we will do our best to answer them.

Haste ye back.
